Pennsylvania State House District 88
Sara Agerton currently is serving her first term in Mechanicsburg Borough Council. She resides in Mechanicsburg with her husband of 19 years and teenage daughter. She moved to Mechanicsburg after receiving her Degree in Criminology from IUP and Master’s in Social Work from Temple University. It was during this time that Sara was called to service for her community.
She has served in Social Work for almost 20 years, fighting for services and advocating for families of Pennsylvania. This unique experience gives Sara the perspective of being solution based and serving all of her neighbors. Recently she has served as a healthcare administrator witnessing the need for governance and community planning to deal with the healthcare crisis.
Sara believes that the government should be serving all of her neighbors and that people are frustrated. It is her goal to be a fresh perspective in building positive changes to the district. Her experience of service will continue to benefit the 88th district.
Sara has resided in Mechanicsburg with her family and volunteered for many organizations as giving back is part of her life philosophy, from Girl Scout Leader, Coach for Girls on the Run to Alzheimer’s support group facilitator. Most recently she has joined the Sadler Fundraising team to bring affordable and free healthcare to her district.
