2020 Race Update: JD lost 47.57% to 52.43%

JD Wooten is an intellectual property attorney and former US Air Force officer and engineer. He attended the U.S. Air Force Academy where he earned a bachelor’s of science in aeronautical engineering. He later attended the University of Maryland School of Public Policy where he earned a Masters of Public Policy in International Security and Economic Policy. While on Active Duty, he served as an engineer, program manager, and as an aide to a senior general. After a decade of service, he left active duty to attend Wake Forest University School of Law. He joined the law firm Womble Bond Dickinson after graduation as a litigator specializing in helping clients secure and protect their creative rights through patents, trademarks, and copyrights. His family has called North Carolina home for over twenty generations and he is proud to still call it home today.
