2020 Race Update: Joana lost 45.96% to 54.04%

Joana Scholtz is a first-time candidate running for Kansas House of Representatives District 40. She is a retired teacher invested in the futures of all of Kansas’ children. She is the mother of a 2006 Lansing High School graduate and knows the importance of supporting local schools. She is also an army veteran who knows the daily sacrifices of members of the Armed Forces so that all citizens can be free. As her community is poised to grow, Joana wants to ensure the state invests in it to have the right balance of infrastructure and business incentives. Joana has served her family, country, community, and is now ready to serve the people of District 40 as their State Representative.
