Michigan House District 38
2020 Race Update: Kelly won 51.62% to 48.38%
Kelly Breen is running to be the next State Representative for Michigan’s 38th District. She’s been many things in her life so far – she’s a mom, an attorney, an activist, an educator’s wife, and a Novi City Council member. As a Northville native and lifelong Michigander, she has an incredible amount of love for her home state. Her journey into politics began when Kelly worked with a group of her neighbors to fight a local development project. They made an important change in their neighborhood by standing up against overdevelopment, and from that point on, Kelly was hooked on the idea of spending her days advocating for her community and the people around her. She’s running because she’s tired of partisan politics taking away from the true intent of public service – working to make each other’s lives better. She believes in Michigan’s potential to go beyond its automotive industry legacy and become a leader in business, education, sustainability, and health care. She believes in collaboration, not division, because there is nothing stronger than standing together. She wants to represent the people of Michigan’s 38th District and advocate for Michigan’s future because she believes in all the people of Michigan.
