2020 Race Update: Matt lost 45.62% to 54.38%

Matt Fox is a teacher, coach, and union member running for the 87th District seat in the Kansas House of Representatives. As an educator, Matt sees how poverty, socioeconomic stressors, and inaccessible health care impact his students and their ability to learn each day. That’s why he’s stepping away from the classroom and running for office. In Matt’s words, “Sometimes you have to leave what you love to protect it.”

As a representative, Matt will fight to provide working-class Kansans with a functional health care system by expanding Medicaid, work diligently to abolish Kansas’ food tax, and ensure the legislature upholds its promise to adequately fund public education.
